Ginko + seed

Ginkgo cranei + seed
Age: Paleocene (58-55 million years ago)
Location: Sentinnel Butte Formation, Dakota, USA 

Sometimes called a living fossil, ginkgo first appears in the fossil record during the Jurassic. The oldest known fossils are about 200 million years old. The only remaining member of the genus is Ginkgo billoba. It is used medicinally, particularly in Chinese medicine.
