    a sample of trinitite held to the sky. the piece is greenish brown, with some translucency. It does not appear to be homogenous. the surface is smoothes, the edges seem crumbly.

    This is a slice of impact breccia from the reis crater. it largely consists of a grey/beige suevite matrix. There are several large angular clasts of a black material (about 5% of the shown surface) as well a rare inclusions of a orange material (visible in close up)

    A slice of brenham ( a pallasite) held up to the light. This sample consists o crystals of orange/brown olivine within an iron nickel matrix.

    an acid etched cross section of fukang. The sample has straight edges where it has been cut. there is a gap on the bottom right and a rough edge along the top right. The edge on the top right shows signs of remnants of a reddish brown material. These were the locations of olivine crystals which are not present on this sample. The metal has a distinctive widmanstatten pattern.
