Seymchan

Name: Seymchan
Location: Magadansky region, North east Russia.
Found: 1967
Classification: main group pallasite (previously IIE octahedrite)
Total weight of fall: 823 Kg
Weight 19g

 This is a bit of an odd ball. Until fairly recently this meteorite was classified as an iron meteorite. However a small proportion of samples from this meteorite actually contain olivine crystals, making it a pallasite. 

 All meteorites come in a display case with an information card. total weight including box, 60g. This photograph is of the item offered for sale.
