Otodus tooth

Otodus obliquus
Age: Eocene (50 - 40 million years ago)
Location: Khourigba phosphates, Morocco

Although these teeth are very small, otodus was one of the largest oceanic predators of its time. It is generally believed to have been the ancestor of the Megalodon, the largest shark ever.
