Carcharias tooth

Carcharias tinitana
Age: Paleocene (65- 50 million years ago)
Location: Khourigba phospahtes, Morocco

These are fossilised teeth from an extinct sand sharks. Sharks constantly shed their teeth and have them replaced like a little conveyor belt. These teeth are plentiful and where preserved during the eocene.
