Limonite "duna". Location: Murcia, Spain
These look like little ripples on the sides of dunes, but are actually the remains of an iron pan podzol. Podzols form due to microbial action at a particular soil horizon found in peaty, woodland soils.
They look beautiful, but are actually a top purchase for our pigment making customers.
