Green aventurine tumblestone

Aventurine is a form of quartzite. Quartzite forms when a quartz rich rock is put under relatively high pressure. The sizes of the quartz grains change and they become closely packed. Aventurine is generally brightly coloured. Its colouration is due to the presence of grains of coloured mica. In this case the mica is fuschite.
