Bismuth

These fantastic crystals have not been cut or moulded they just grew this way. Bismuth actually has a cubic form, but it grows so rapidly that the outside cools before the inside can form. Cubes are pretty awesome, but these little temples are even cooler!

This is something to bear in mind for daily life -- sometimes we think we need to grow towards a perfect form, but the form we are developing into is already amazing.
