Shungite is an unusual form of carbon. it is only found in karelia in North Russia. There are two kinds of shungite. One form is mate black, it is an unusual form of jet. Noble shungite is shiny and silvery. This form of shungite contains natural fullerenes. It is rarer and far more expensive than the other variety.
Both varieties of shungite are much sought after,. They are used in water filtration and are said to block out EMF signals.
