Bats and the first primates

The Earth started to find a new balance, and the remaining lineages of plants and animals diversified and adapted to fit newly available ecological niches. By the Eocene, modern birds had started to proliferate and most of the modern mammalian orders had become established (including bats, whales and marsupials)
