This kit comes with a paperclip, a lodestone, a synthetic magnet and a piece of string and is just perfect for investing msgnetism. Magnetite has an important role in folk magic and early science. It was used to charge compasses in early nsvigation and it is possible to build your own compass with this kit. The addition of iron filings will allow you to investigate magnetic fields.
