This natural scene is sliced from sandstone. The sandstone formed during Jurassic. It was once part of a sand sea and dunes walked slowly across the desert expanse directed by the wind. The sandstone from this area is frequently brightly coloured and contains a large amount of iron oxides which have accumulated in the sandstone. When sliced, he rock shows different bands of colours. these frequently look like little desert scenes.
These slices are perfect for wall mounting and framing and can also be displayed on a stand, as part of a cabinet collection.
