Jade

Jade is highly prized and holds an important place in most forms of folk tradition. 

it represents good luck, good fortune and good health and is said to promote prosperity of mind and spirit and encourage well being. Nephrite is associated with the kidneys and the renal system (sympathetic magic -- nephrite often forms in kidney shaped nodules). It is said to be helpful during labour and th final trimester of pregnancy. 

A gift of jade represents a new beginning. It is a good present for a new home, a new baby or someone ho is setting off on a new venture or making a fresh start.
